When we started the process of becoming an independent charity, it was crucial to us that our priorities as an organisation were shaped by young people.

So, we worked with our cohort of young people and asked them what our Vision, Mission, and Values should be as a newly independent charity. The below is the result of those conversations.

Our Vision

A Wales in which no young person is forced to face homelessness, destitution, or discrimination.

Our Mission

We will meaningfully engage with young people, empowering them to use their experiences to enact positive and lasting change in their communities. We will develop resources and information campaigns to raise public awareness about youth homelessness, prioritising early intervention and our collective responsibility to prevent youth homelessness.

Our Values

Perseverance

We will work towards our goals and advocate for young people, no matter how hard it gets.

Compassion

We will approach every aspect of our work with compassion and will champion the importance of acting with compassion across Welsh society.

Equity

We will work to address the fact that young people do not have the same access to opportunities as adults, and in our individual work with young people recognise how intersectional identities impact experiences of homelessness.

Dignity

We will believe young people at their word, and fight for every young person to be able to access help quickly, easily, and without pre-judgement.
